What is an eBay template for your listings?

An HTML template for your eBay listings can help you stand out from the competition and create listings with aesthetically appealing and personalized descriptions.

To use an eBay HTML template on Poleepo you don't need to have specific knowledge in html. Online you can find many free tools that allow you to create HTML templates in a few minutes, alternatively you can download example templates directly at the end of the article.

Insert the eBay template on Poleepo

If you have chosen to use one of the sample eBay templates downloaded at the end of this article, follow these instructions:

Reach the eBay configuration by following the path: Menu > Configuration > Sales channels . Select eBay in the “Marketplace” section

Set up an ebay html template on Poleepo

  • Click on the “Set template” button located at the bottom of the section

  • Enable the toggle on the right to open the eBay template editor

  • Open the txt file containing the code of the chosen template, select all the code and copy it.

Set up an ebay html template on Poleepo

  • Return to the template editor on Poleepo. In the editor section, click on the “<>” icon in the top bar to enter code mode.

  • Paste the previously copied code into the editor and click on the “<>” icon again to return to the visual editor mode.

  • In the example templates there are basic tabs, such as product name, photo, price and descriptions but others can be added.

  • In the template you can use HTML code (remember to respect eBay listing rules) and insert TAGS which will be replaced with specific product values.

Below is the list of TAGs with the relative value that will be inserted:

{IMAGE}: Main image
{NAME}: Product name
{SHORT_DESCRIPTION}: Short description
{LONG_DESCRIPTION}: Long description
{PRICE}: Price
{BRAND}: Brand
{EAN}: Barcode
{SKU}: Internal code
{MPN }: }: Manufacturer Code
{WEIGHT}: Weight
{IMAGES}: Other Images
{CATEGORY}: Main Category
The complete list of tags will appear as a suggestion as soon as you insert a curly bracket.

Obviously the texts and the logo (if present in the chosen template) must be replaced according to your needs.

Once you have finished editing the template, click on the "Save" button.
