Overview of creating products with variations
Creating a product with a variant allows you to manage a set of identical products, differing from each other only in certain attributes, such as colour, size, dimensions, etc.
This allows buyers to compare and choose the products best suited to their needs based on these specific characteristics.
For example, a customer interested in purchasing a shirt could click on the product page and, instead of having to browse separate pages for each color and size, he or she will be able to select the right size and choose his or her favorite color from the proposed variants.
Furthermore, by associating specific images with each variant, the customer will be able to see the differences without having to wait unnecessarily for a new page to load each time.
To create a new product with variants, click on the "Products" item in the menu on the left and then click on "New Product"
The first tab displayed contains the fields to fill in relating to the main product information:
SKU: Internal code of the main product (*the sku must not coincide with a variant SKU) , if it is not entered, a sku will be created automatically
BARCODE: Not needed for main information (EAN codes will be entered for each variant)
UPC: Not required for main information
ISBN: 13-digit code that internationally identifies an edition of a title from a specific publisher
MPN: Unique manufacturer code
NAME: Product name
BRAND: Brand of the product
WEIGHT, HEIGHT, WIDTH, DEPTH: Dimensions and weight of the product
SHORT DESCRIPTION: A short description of the product
LONG DESCRIPTION: Long description of the product
Create your product
The creation of the product with variants is divided into two phases:
The first phase concerns the insertion of the main information
The second concerns the insertion of information for each variant of the product
Create your product by filling in the main information fields and associating a category to your product, finally click on the "Create" button

After clicking on the “Create” button , click on the “Images” tab to upload your images to the product. (You can add multiple images per product)

Move to the "Variants" tab and click the "Variants management" button
Fill in the required SKU, EAN, and MPN data and click the circular button with the (+) symbol on the right to add the attributes for the variants. (Are the attributes not present? See the "Creating and Editing Attributes for Products with Variants" section .)
You can add an attribute value via the + button at the top
You can add a new combination to the variant by clicking the + button on the right and choosing the attribute from the drop-down menu that opens. Once you've filled out all the fields, click " Save ."
Update your product by clicking the “Update” button
* You can also associate one or more suppliers with your product and manage discounted prices.
