Premise
From Poleepo you can send labels in ZPL format directly to the Zebra printer at the workstation: you can create the shipment and print the label automatically, without downloading files or opening the system's print window.
Requirements
You need a Zebra printer connected to your computer and the free Zebra Browser Print app installed on your PC.
You can download the app from this link: https://www.zebra.com/it/it/support-downloads/software/printer-software/browser-print.html
What You Need | Detail |
Printer | Zebra, or compatible with the ZPL language, connected via USB or network to the workstation computer |
App | Zebra Browser Print is free and can be downloaded from the Zebra website; available for Windows and macOS |
Browser | Chrome, Edge, Safari and other Chromium-based browsers (e.g. Arc) |
Couriers | Those in Poleepo who offer the ZEBRA / ZPL label format |
Browser Print acts as a bridge between the browser and the printer: Poleepo passes the label to the app, and the app sends it to the default printer.
Setting up the workstation
It must be done once for each computer from which you print.
Install Zebra Browser Print and launch it. It runs in the background, with an icon in the menu bar (macOS) or notification area (Windows).
Connect and turn on your Zebra printer.
In the Browser Print app settings, set the printer as the default printer .
When printing for the first time from Poleepo, Browser Print asks for authorization to use the Poleepo site. The site remains among the authorized sites.
Grant browser access:
Chrome, Edge, and Chromium-based browsers : If prompted, allow the Poleepo site to access your local network .
If the request does not appear: to the left of your browser's search bar → icon to the left of the address → Site settings → Local network → Allow.
Safari : Open once
https://127.0.0.1:9101/ssl_support, choose “Show details” and “Visit this website” to accept the Browser Print certificate.
Print browser app settings
in Default Devices the Change button chooses the default printer;
The Poleepo site appears in Accepted Hosts after authorization (the test environment is shown in the screenshot).
Once configured, the station does not require any further steps.
