From the Amazon configuration, you can create a publishing template to centrally manage the enhancement of Amazon attributes for the creation of product pages on the marketplace.
When drafting the product sheet you'll publish on Amazon, you can use the template you created previously to enhance its attributes.
Publishing template management
Default template
Clicking on the "Publishing Templates" button will open a page with a list of created templates.
If you haven't created any templates yet, you'll only see a generic, non-deletable default template that Poleepo provides to make attribute mapping easier. You can simply duplicate it and edit it as needed.
Create new template
If you don't want to use the default template that Poleepo provides, you can choose to create one from scratch by clicking the + create template button.
You will need to name the template you are creating and indicate the category to which it is associated.
Edit template
By clicking on the pencil icon you can edit/modify the newly created or duplicated template chosen for publication.
From here you can map the attributes required by Amazon grouped under each field, such as "product identity", "offer", etc.
By checking the "show only required fields" flag, only the required fields required by Amazon will be displayed.
Below each field you will see
on the left side the attributes required by Amazon;
On the right side, the fields with the values and corresponding characteristics to map to Poleepo. In the right-hand fields, in addition to the values to select, you can also enter fixed values by typing them manually and pressing the "Enter" key.
The fields will update automatically as you enter the chosen value.
Template mapping examples
Mapping between Amazon-required fields and Poleepo information
How do I handle the situation where I need to send information from the Poleepo product sheet to Amazon?
On the left side are the values required by Amazon, in this case the item name and brand name .
Simply indicate the corresponding field on the right side of the Poleepo product sheet.
You can choose between information from the native product sheet (indicated by the word " product " next to the field name) or from characteristics that you have previously entered directly on the product.
In the example shown, the "item name" value has been mapped to the "title" of the product sheet and the "brand name" value has been mapped to the brand of the product sheet.
Alternatively, you can enter a fixed value in the field on the right.
In this case, the value " generic brand" was entered and therefore this value will be sent to Amazon for all products created with this template.
Mapping selectable values from an Amazon list
How do you handle the case where you need to send one of the returned values in a list of items to Amazon?
On the left side are the values required by Amazon, in this case the gender for which the product is intended.
You have to choose between female - male - unisex
In the Default value field, you can choose the default value to use if the mapping is missing or doesn't return a valid result. For example, if you want to send "male" to all products created with this template, select "male."
Otherwise, if you want to send a dynamic value that comes from one of your characteristics, on the right side you can select the corresponding field: we have indicated the characteristic called " gender " and the value of the characteristic " man " when you want to send the value "male" to Amazon , and " woman " when you want to send the value "female" .
This way, when you enter "male" in the "gender" product attribute, the value "male" will automatically be sent to Amazon, and when you enter "female" the value "female" will be sent to Amazon.
"Recommended navigation nodes" field
When filling in the "recommended_browse_nodes.value" field, you will need to enter the Node Id of the category of the product you are publishing.
In the example in the photo below, an example Node ID has been put.
If you don't know what the Node ID is, you can click on the link attached below with the list of Node IDs for the various countries.
